Search "top 10 air purifier OEM manufacturers in China" and you will find lists written to sell ad slots, not to protect your purchase order. This guide takes the opposite approach: instead of ranking brand names, it maps the ten manufacturer profiles that actually exist in the Chinese air-purifier OEM landscape in 2026 — and shows you how to verify which profile you are talking to.
The ten profiles you will meet
- The vertically integrated purifier specialist. Owns its filter division, mold center, injection and assembly on one campus. Certification files run per model across US/EU/UK/JP/KR/AU/Gulf. This is the profile HOKO belongs to — and the one that survives a factory audit without choreography.
- The assembly-only workshop. Buys filters, molds and controllers outside. Quoted prices look great until you ask who owns filter consistency three years into your replacement program.
- The trading-company front. No factory at all. Detect it by asking for the business license's registered scope and a same-day video call from the production line.
- The domestic giant's export arm. Huge capacity, but your 500-unit private-label run competes with its own brand's priorities. Check MOQ and lead-time realism.
- The single-market specialist. Excellent for one market (usually Japan or Korea), thin everywhere else. Fine if your roadmap is one country deep.
- The broad-appliance generalist. Makes fans, heaters, humidifiers and purifiers. Purification may be a side line — check whether CADR testing is in-house or outsourced.
- The smart-home startup factory. Strong app and connectivity, weak compliance history. Verify ETL/CARB status model by model, not in a pitch deck.
- The price-leader exporter. Optimized for tenders and hypermarket price points. Audit material downgrades between sample and mass production.
- The boutique ODM studio. Beautiful industrial design, small capacity. Right for a premium niche, wrong for a 40HQ program.
- The filter-technology factory. Started in filtration media, then built machines around it. Usually the strongest consumables economics — and the best long-term replacement-filter margins for your brand.
How to verify any manufacturer in one afternoon
- Certifications are per model, not per factory. Ask for the certificate list mapped to the exact SKUs you will buy. A factory-wide "we have CE/ETL" claim is a red flag.
- Ask for the CADR test report, then read it. Chamber volume, standard (AHAM AC-1 or GB/T 18801), measured vs. rated CADR, and whether the report covers your configuration. See our guide on reading an AHAM AC-1 report.
- Ask who makes the filter. If the answer is a third party, your replacement-filter margin and quality consistency live in someone else's hands.
- Video-audit before you fly. A supplier confident in their plant will walk you through injection, filter production, assembly and the test lab on a video call. Book ours.
- Check the audit trail. SGS or equivalent supplier assessments, ISO 9001/14001/45001 certificate numbers you can verify with the issuing body.
Where HOKO fits
Guangzhou Haike (HOKO) is profile #1 with the economics of #10: a purification-only OEM/ODM since 2005, with in-house filters, molds, injection and assembly on a 60,000+ m² campus, and per-model certifications covering the US (ETL, FCC, CARB, EPA, Prop 65), EU/UK (CE, UKCA, GS, CB, REACH), Japan (PSE), Korea (KC), Australia/NZ (SAA/RCM) and Saudi Arabia (SASO/SABER). If your shortlist process is criteria-first, we are happy to be scored — request the compliance pack and run us against your checklist.
